Progetto CMR - Massimo Roj Architects
Thank you to the 3,500+ visitors who explored CAMERA – Inside the Lens during Milano Design Week 2026.
What happened inside CAMERA went beyond an installation. For one week, this immersive micro-architecture became a space for dialogue, encounters and new ways of looking at the city, framing Milan and the Duomo through an open, human and unfiltered lens.
From April 20 to 26, designers, students, professionals and curious visitors turned CAMERA into a living platform of ideas.
A special thank you to everyone who visited and made this journey possible — especially to our partners, who helped bring this vision to life: (main partner), , , , , , (partner), (special guest) .engineering (technical partner).
What perspective did you discover inside Camera?
As part of “Camera: Inside the lens”, Progetto CMR’s installation for Milan Design Week 2026, a talk by Sergio D’Antonio was held at Politecnico di Milano, contributing to the broader program of events that enrich the Camera experience.
“Camera” thus confirms itself as an active platform for exchange between research, academia, and industry, fostering dialogue and shared visions on the future of building.
In the heart of Fuorisalone “Camera: Inside the lens” spotlighted the future of construction bringing together Finsa and Progetto CMR.
Moderated by Giorgio Tartaro, the discussion reframed “Camera” as more than an installation: a tangible manifesto of how we will build tomorrow. A housing module where off-site construction, design precision, and aesthetic quality converge, driven by a process in which industrialization and digitalization go hand in hand. Decarbonization was also at the core of the conversation, with wood emerging as a strategic ally capable of storing CO₂ and enabling a more circular lifecycle, from waste reduction to design for disassembly. What emerges is a clear vision: a new way of living, scalable, flexible, and ready for contemporary housing needs.
Within Camera – Inside the Lens, developed for the Milano Design Week, a special day was held in collaboration with Fondazione Bullone, turning the space into an open editorial room.
The focus was the storytelling of micro-architectures as narrative tools to read and interpret urban space. Students and participants conducted interviews with passers-by, gathering spontaneous voices, impressions, and perspectives.
The result was a collective exercise in urban listening, where architecture and communication merged in real time.
