❓Are you always sure of the right aspect of verbs after the verb “хотеть”? If yes, you are doing really great! Красавчики! 🤟🏻 If nope, there are some tips for you in here:

➕sentences
✔️In most cases СВ verbs are used to express intention to do or experience something one time only:
✏️ Хочу посмотреть кино.
✏️ Хочу пойти в ресторан.
✏️ Хочу позаниматься спортом.

✔️But it’s possible to use also НСВ verbs after “хотеть” to say that you wanna do or experience something more than once, in other words, many times or in a regular basis:
✏️ Хочу постоянно гулять в этом парке.
✏️ Хочу переписываться с тобой каждый день.
✏️ Хочу получать документы вовремя.

✔️If you wanna describe your inner state, emotions, needs in line with the time (past, present, future tenses), use НСВ verbs as well. In this situation it’s not about repetitive actions but just about the speaker’s inner state.
✏️ Хочу спать
✏️ Буду хотеть пить
✏️ Очень хотел курить

➖ sentences:
✔️In most cases НСВ verbs are used: there is no desire even to start a process of doing something:
✏️ Я не хочу этого делать.
✏️ Ты не хочешь смотреть фильм.
✏️ Он не хочет идти в кино.

✔️СВ verbs are used If those verbs are semantically negative, express concerns and this is a single action:
✏️ Я не хочу забыть этот номер.
✏️ Ты не хочешь заболеть.
✏️ Она не хочет потерять.

✔️But in case of repetitive actions previous verbs can become НСB:
✏️ Не хочу болеть, поэтому принимаю витамины.
✏️ Не хочу опаздывать, поэтому всегда просыпаюсь рано.
✏️ Не хочу ничего забывать, поэтому всё всегда записываю.

“ЕЩЁ” & “УЖЕ”
If you guys keep mixing these adverbs up, this post is for you! ❤️
▪️The adverb “ещё” is used when:
✔️a process or an action hasn’t started till the moment of speech:
✏️Ты спишь? Are you sleeping?
✏️Ещё нет. Not yet.
✔️a result of an action hasn’t been achieved:
✏️ Ты говоришь по-русски? Do you speak Russian?
✏️ Ещё нет. Я только начал учить язык. Not yet. I’ve just started learning the language.
✔️an action which should have ended still lasts:
✏️ Ты дома? Are you at home?
✏️ Нет, я ещё на работе. Not yet, I’m still at work.
▪️The adverb “уже” is used when:
✔️a process or an action has already ended:
✏️ Ты сейчас работаешь? Are you still working?
✏️ Нет, я уже закончил. Nope, I’ve already finished.
✔️a result was achieved:
✏️ Купи, пожалуйста, хлеб. Could you buy some bread, please?
✏️ Я уже купил. I’ve already bought it.
✔️by the time of speech another action has already begun:
✏️ Я работаю в этой компании уже 2 месяца. I’ve been working for this company for 2 months already.

✏️ Я всё ещё ищу работу. I’m still looking for a job.
✏️ Повтори ещё раз. Repeat once again.
✏️ Что ещё ты хочешь? What else do you want?
✏️ Уже поздно. It’s late already.

❗️❗️If one day you decided to change something in your life and you became absolutely positive about your decision, this construction would come in handy. If you feel you just can’t take it any more, use «больше не» before the verb to say that out loud:

✔️Я больше не хочу тебя слушать!
I don’t wanna listen to you any more!
✔️Я больше не могу здесь работать.
I just can’t work here any more.
✔️Я больше не буду так себя вести.
I won’t behave this way any more, I promise!
✔️Ты больше не должен это терпеть!
You definitely shouldn’t put up with it.
