The AI4Debunk consortium successfully touched down in Rome for our latest General Assembly, hosted by CNIT - Consorzio Nazionale Interuniversitario per le Telecomunicazioni! 🛡️

🇮🇹 Over two productive days, our partners gathered to transition from foundational research to deployable, trustworthy AI solutions. The energy was high as we aligned on our mission to safeguard the digital information ecosystem.

From refining Knowledge Graphs and explainable AI scoring systems to previewing future AR/VR debunking environments, the consortium is pushing the boundaries of how we detect and combat disinformation.

On 25 February 2026, the consortium partners came together for the latest 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆, marking an important milestone as we gear up for the project’s second-year review meeting. 🤝

The session focused on preparation for the upcoming review, ensuring that our progress, results, and impact are clearly demonstrated.

Work Package leaders shared updates on ongoing developments, highlighting advancements across technical and research activities. Among the key points discussed were the latest improvements to our API, as well as insights gathered from recent community surveys.

The consortium also looked ahead, preparing for upcoming outreach and knowledge-sharing activities, including mini-symposiums and workshops designed to engage stakeholders and amplify the project’s impact.

We’re proud to share that our partners at MICC - Media Integration and Communication Center & CNIT - Consorzio Nazionale Interuniversitario per le Telecomunicazioni achieved first place in the open set scenario of the “𝘔𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘌𝘷𝘢𝘭 2025 𝘚𝘺𝘯𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘐𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘴: 𝘈𝘥𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘈𝘐 𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭-𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘬” among 11 participating teams and 5 baseline methods.
