This week in AffittoPLUS, we visited Messina, a city that is considered the gateway to Italy (well, Sicily at least). Although parts of this city may be a little industrial, there are some very nice apartments in residential areas that are still within walking distance to everything. If you are considering living in this part of Sicily, you can find some very good prices and a low cost of living, which having all of the services you expect from a bigger city.

The Editor’s pick however, is just outside of Naples in a seaside city called Portici. This mid-sized city is on the water and the buildings and architecture are quite beautiful. The apartment we found is inside a beautiful building, and occupies the top floor. It is a 1bed/1bath and available on (negotiable terms) to the lucky one who grabs it first! The stunner is the exclusive use of the rooftop terrace.
