SooS Chronicles

Era il marzo dello scorso anno quando ci venne commissionata dal magazine Point.51 una storia che sembrava semplicemente non esistere: quella della micro-nazione di Mapsulon, distante appena qualche km da noi, sulla montagna pistoiese. Di lì a poco, a causa della pandemia, il mondo cambiò drasticamente e a lungo abbiamo avuto la sensazione che questa storia non esistesse per davvero.

Invece, dopo diversi mesi di raccolta contatti, di spedizioni fotografiche e di stesura dei testi, siamo arrivati in fondo. È stato un lavoro lungo e stimolante, reso possibile grazie al confronto continuo con la magnifica redazione di Point.51 e alla disponibilità delle nostre guide sul posto. Oggi siamo felici di poter finalmente condividere il nostro racconto su Mapsulon, pubblicato sull'ultimo numero del magazine, dedicato al tema "Nations", attualmente in edicola.

It was March last year when Point.51 commissioned us a story that seemed not to exist: we were assigned to travel to the micro-nation of Mapsulon, just a few kilometers away from us. Shortly thereafter, because of the pandemic, the world changed drastically and for a long time we had the feeling that this story did not exist for real.

It took several months to collect the right contacts, take the images and write the text, but we have finally come to an end. It was a long and stimulating job, made possible thanks to the continuous dialogue with the magnificent editorial staff of Point.51 and the availability of our local guides. Now we are happy to see and share our story about Mapsulon, just published in the latest issue of the magazine (Issue #4 - Nations), currently out on newsstands.
