Exciting news from ACM MMSys 2025! 🎉
We’re happy to announce that our demonstration "Real-time Point Cloud Transmission for Immersive Teleoperation of Autonomous Mobile Robots" has won the 🏆 Best Demo Paper award at the ACM Multimedia Systems 2025 conference!
The demo showcases the results of the DIANE project, developed within the framework of the SPIRIT Project Open Call 🌐, that explores immersive robot teleoperation using stereo cameras—addressing key challenges like real-time point cloud processing, compression, and low-latency streaming.
A big thank you to the SPIRIT project 🙌 for supporting our research, and to the conference organizers and community for this incredible honor.
Thanks to the team that has worked on this project! Nunzio Barone, Walter Brescia, Gabriele Santangelo, Antonio Pio Maggio, Ivan Cisternino, Luca De Cicco, Saverio Mascolo
Onward to more innovation in real-time immersive experiences! 💡
