When we started building Grippy, we kept coming back to the same question — what does a day actually look like for someone wearing this?
Not the clinical version. The real one.
Getting ready in the morning. Making chai. Picking up a phone. Carrying a bag. Eight hours of movement, without thinking about every single one.
Weight was the first thing we obsessed over. By afternoon, most people take it off — not because it doesn’t work, but because it’s exhausting. So we worked toward something light enough to wear through the day.
Then control. Constant input, visual checks, conscious effort for every grip — that’s management, not freedom. So we built grip patterns that adjust on their own. Sensors that assist rather than demand.
Then recovery. Fitment is just the beginning. So we built a rehab system that guides users through rebuilding control — one people actually want to engage with.
Most days, you shouldn’t have to think about your hand.
Intuition isn’t a feature you can add at the end — it has to be designed into every decision from the beginning.
That’s what we kept building toward.
