The Great Story Shuffle: World Book Day
“Pick a chit, don’t delay,
A story’s waiting—come and play!
Props in hand, let’s begin,
A world of magic lies within!
To celebrate World Book Day, the students of Class II joyfully stepped into the magical world of stories through an exciting and imaginative “Mix Bag Activity.” The classroom transformed into a vibrant storytelling arena where creativity, expression, and confidence took center stage.
Each child eagerly picked a chit from the mystery bag, revealing the name of a story. With curious minds and sparkling enthusiasm, they then explored a collection of props, thoughtfully selecting items that best matched their story. From crowns and capes to baskets and puppets, every prop added life and charm to their narration.
One by one, the young storytellers came forward, weaving their tales with expressions, voice modulation, and dramatic flair. The activity not only strengthened their speaking skills but also encouraged quick thinking, imagination, and a deeper connection with literature.
The “Mix Bag Activity” truly turned reading into a delightful adventure, proving that books are not just to be read—but to be lived, felt, and shared.

Our Heritage, Our Responsibility!
World Heritage Week

“Old is gold, let’s care and share,
Heritage treasures everywhere!
From art to sites, big and small,
Let’s protect them, one and all!
Hands together, voices say,
Save our heritage every day!”

World Heritage Week was joyfully observed by the young learners of Prep to Grade II in the Pre-Primary section, embracing the meaningful theme “Protect the Heritage.” The week unfolded as a vibrant journey where curiosity met creativity, and learning came alive through engaging, hands-on experiences.
The enthusiastic learners explored the richness of global heritage and understood the importance of preserving “our pride” for future generations. Through thoughtfully designed activities, the children became little ambassadors of culture and conservation.
The highlight of the week was the creation of Heritage Booklets and Travel Journals, where the young minds documented fascinating World Heritage Sites by thoughtfully placing pictures, identifying names, and sharing simple facts. These take-away treasures not only enhanced their knowledge but also sparked a sense of responsibility towards safeguarding these wonders.
Adding a splash of artistic brilliance, the tiny artists enthusiastically explored traditional Indian art forms like Madhubani and Warli, expressing their creativity while connecting with cultural roots. Their artworks reflected both imagination and appreciation for age-old traditions.
Classes 3 to 10 students were taken on a guided walk through a series of display boards showcasing famous heritage sites from around the globe.
The excitement soared high during the Traditional Dress-Up Activity, where children beautifully showcased the diversity of culture and traditions. It was truly a delightful “walk through heritage,” celebrating unity in diversity and instilling pride in our rich cultural legacy.
World Heritage Week was not just a celebration—it was a step towards nurturing mindful, aware, and responsible young citizens who understand that heritage is a treasure to be loved, respected, and protected.
