Despite heavy rain, I discovered its magnificent entrance gate, grand halls, intricate wooden carvings, royal court hall, antique collections, and the famous statue of Virappa Nayak, who was rewarded with 30 villages by the Ratta rulers for his bravery.
The Desai family still lives in this historic palace, and today it is also a popular filming location for Kannada movies and TV serials.
