Almost Winz

I have to admit I’m feeling pretty frustrated watching this unfold. We’re paying a plumbing company $14,200 to replace the sewer connection, and when I stepped outside I saw a worker standing in a muddy trench assembling plastic piping on the spot. There was primer and glue everywhere, several pipe sections laid out in different directions, and it appeared they were holding fittings up and adjusting them while deciding how everything would connect.
When I asked the foreman whether the layout had been planned in advance, he mentioned that they generally “build it as they go.” That response caught me off guard. For a project of this scale and cost, I expected a clearly defined plan and a more structured installation process rather than what looked like trial-and-error assembly in the trench.
Am I overreacting, or does this approach seem unusual for a sewer line replacement? I’d appreciate hearing from anyone with plumbing or construction experience about whether this is a normal way for crews to handle this type of work.

To the person who thought it was a brilliant idea to fill an Amazon package on your porch with expired milk — I’ve already contacted the police.
My brand-new car is now ruined because you decided to be “clever.” This wasn’t some harmless prank. My entire car smells like sour, spoiled milk because of what you did, and someone is going to have to pay to get it professionally cleaned.
If I find out who’s responsible, I will be pressing charges.
Now I’m stuck dealing with police reports, repairs, and insurance claims — all because of a package.
This isn’t funny at all, and I’m beyond frustrated.
