A set-top box (STB) is an information appliance device that generally contains a TV-tuner input and displays output connects to a television set and an external source of signal, turning the source signal into content in a form that can then be displayed on the television screen or other display device. The Set top box (STB) is connected to a television set at the Consumer end and which allows a Consumer to view channels. The basic function of the STB is to decrypt the channels and to convert the digital signals into analog form for viewing on television set.
