Upcoming kitchen renovation at Trivandrum

REVAMP Set along a riverside, ‘Revamp’ focused on thoughtful upgrades to address specific client needs. The primary objective was to replace the roof to combat high temperatures. Mangalore tiled roof was chosen to provide a traditional facade while effectively reducing interior heat. The roof design also converted the terrace into a usable space for recreation and study, catering to the clients, who are teachers. At the rear, an opening in the roof was added to frame the river view and increase ventilation, creating a breathable attic. The kitchen was extended to connect with the car porch for better accessibility. Interiors, including the kitchen, bathrooms, wardrobes, and an informal living area, were entirely redesigned. Practical solutions addressed termite resistance, plumbing issues, and dampness concerns.
