and ANNADA came together with the shared vision to nourish mothers and children across underprivileged and underserved communities to improve their health and nutrition indicators and bring about a holistic and sustained change in their lives.

ANNADA conceived, designed and implemented an ongoing Mother & Child Health & Nutrition (MCHN) project across 16 Anganwadi Centres in Aghai-2 bit/ sector of Shahapur taluka, Thane district through a multi-stakeholder partnership. Zuventus Healthcare Ltd., ICDS Maharashtra, WCD department of Thane Zilla Parishad and ANNADA are the key partners in this initiative.

Together, we are working to strengthen and support the communities by delivering sustained change through our interventions:
✔ Nutrition adequacy through micronutrient fortified meals (supplementary nutrition support)
✔ Adoption of health-seeking behaviour via home visits & awareness sessions (SBCC activities)
✔ Capacity building of Anganwadi workers through training and on-ground mentorship
✔ Community engagement via rallies, recipe booklets
✔ Assessing impact through periodic growth monitoring surveys
✔ Poshan Abhiyan aligned events and activities

Over the past two years:
2.7+ lakh safe, fortified and nutritious meals aligned with food safety guidelines were delivered
With the power of collective action—our trained field teams, dedicated Anganwadi workers, engaged local panchayats, and informed mothers are creating lasting impact.
This is more than a nutrition program—it’s a movement towards 'holistic health and nourished future'.

We have entered the third year of this impactful journey, focusing on sustainability, awareness, community ownership and system-level integration, supporting ICDS’s vision and the goals of National Nutrition Mission and Poshan Abhiyaan 2.0
