**Who is Ilhan Omar?**

Ilhan Omar represents Minnesota's 5th Congressional District, which encompasses Minneapolis and its suburbs. Sworn into office in January 2019, Omar is notable for being the first African refugee elected to Congress and one of the first two Muslim-American women to serve. Born in Somalia, Omar and her family fled the civil war and spent four years in a Kenyan refugee camp before moving to the United States in the 1990s. They settled in Minneapolis in 1997.

Srinagar: J&K administration has accorded sanction to the allotment of land on a lease basis to landless people, with only domiciles of the UT eligible for the scheme.
J&K Lt Governor Manoj Sinha launched the land to landless scheme in July even as political parties in the valley questioned the administration's move and sought clarity regarding the beneficiaries. In a set of guidelines issued by the revenue department, the UT administration accorded sanction to the allotment of five marla of state land on a lease basis to landless PMAY (G)/Awas plus beneficiaries. The category of people eligible for the scheme include those residing on state land, forest land, 'rakhs, farms, and custodian land. pti
