11th Death Anniversary of Former Deputy Director Horticulture Mohammad Shafi Bhat Observed at Pattan
Pattan, June 6: The 11th death anniversary of former Deputy Director Horticulture and Nursery Registration Officer Kashmir, Late Haji Mohammad Shafi Bhat, was observed today at his residence in Jamia Mohalla, Pattan.
Late Mohammad Shafi Bhat, father of KNS Bureau Chief and Chief Editor Kashmir Tehalka Mohammad Lateef Bhat and Showkat Shafi Bhat, passed away on June 6, 2015, after a prolonged illness.
Locals highlighted that Late Mohammad Shafi Bhat was the first position holder in Jammu and Kashmir in B.Sc. Agriculture, a distinction that reflected his academic excellence and commitment to agricultural development.
Locals remembered him as a humble and compassionate person who maintained strong social bonds with people from all sections of society. They prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and said that his legacy of service, integrity, and goodwill continues to inspire the community.
Special prayers were offered on the occasion, with participants praying that Almighty Allah grant him the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous.
