A young woman from Chadoora area in central Kashmir's Budgam district has been diagnosed with kidney failure just when the family was preparing for her engagement. The girl is currently undergoing treatment at Delhi's Apollo Hospital. The family has already incurred around Rs 15 lakh on the treatment. The doctors are now recommending kidney transplant, which is estimated to cost around Rs 25-30 lakh more, an impractical amount for the destitute family.
