A shocking case has come out from Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, where a young man injured himself to get MBBS admission. The man first claimed that unknown attackers cut his leg, but police investigation proved the story was false. Police found that he had amputated four fingers of his left foot himself, leaving only the thumb. He is now admitted to a hospital and is in stable condition. The incident took place in the Line Bazaar police station area. During investigation, police recovered anesthesia vials, syringes, and a saw machine from near the spot. Call records and a diary revealed that he was under stress after failing to get MBBS admission and planned to use the disabled quota. Further legal action is ongoing.
