Director Horticulture Kashmir visits Kulgam apple crop will now be included under insurance coverage.

Kulgam,June 08,CNS:-Director of Horticulture for Kashmir, Mr. Vikas Anand, visited Kulgam to assess the damage from the recent hailstorm, which severely affected horticulture crops.

During his visit, he announced a major development, the apple crop will now be included under insurance coverage. Previously, only agricultural crops were insured, but now horticulture, including apple orchards, will also be protected.

He added that the horticulture team has been sent to every affected area, and they, along with the revenue department, will assess the damage and, according to SDRF norms, provide the necessary relief to the affected farmers.(CNS)
