Today I had a very useful session at my orchard with an agricultural intern from SKUAST-KASHMIR.
We discussed important things for a better 2026 harvest: • Learned how to use pheromone traps to control pests naturally
• Got the updated 2026 spray schedule
• Received my Soil Health Card with a proper nutrient plan
• Understood pruning, irrigation, and overall orchard management
Learning and following scientific methods is the key to better results. Looking forward to a good and healthy harvest ahead.

When promises are backed by action, people feel the change.
People of finally breathed easy today as I inaugurated a long-pending electric transformer from my CAPEX budget, ending years of power hardship in the area.
This wasn’t a photo-op. This was governance delivering where it matters.
The programme was held in the presence of respected village heads of Mundji, reflecting the collective will of the people and their demand for basic infrastructure.
I was accompanied by Constituency Head , and other committed leaders of Zaingeer, all standing together for development, accountability, and results.

At District Headquarters Baramulla, workers from different political parties and social backgrounds joined hands with the Congress under the banner of MGNREGA Bacho Sangram.
This unity shows that the struggle for MGNREGA wages, employment, and dignity rises above party lines. When workers suffer, politics takes a back seat.
As a public representative and DDC Zaingeer, I stand with every worker demanding what is rightfully theirs. MGNREGA is a legal right, not charity. A memorandum was submitted to the Deputy Commissioner Baramulla seeking immediate clearance of pending wages, transparency in implementation, and justice for rural workers.
The Congress family remains open to all who believe in fairness, dignity, and constitutional rights.
This fight will continue, peacefully and firmly, till justice is delivered.

Today, from my CAPEX budget, I distributed Kabaddi mats to support and strengthen local sports infrastructure.
Kabaddi is more than a game. It builds discipline, teamwork, and confidence in our youth. These mats are practical step to ensure players train safely and with proper facilities.
Here’s what matters: when we invest in sports at the grassroots, we invest in healthier, stronger, and more focused young people.
Committed to promoting sports. Committed to our youth. Committed to development.
