Fewer Vs Less
Use fewer when referring to people or things in the plural (fewer things, fewer people, fewer women, and fewer cars) and use less when referring to things that can't be counted (less time, less air, less money).
Examples:
• People are buying fewer books.
• People want to spend less time in traffic jams
