A condolence meeting was held at the HNAF Office in memory of our beloved member and founder of our organization Pijush Roy (Pintu Da)

Members, well-wishers, and associates gathered to pay their heartfelt tributes and remember the invaluable contributions made by our founder. The meeting was filled with respect, remembrance, and shared grief, reflecting the deep impact they had on all of us.

We sincerely thank everyone who was present and stood together in this moment of loss.

*পিন্টুদা, তুমি অক্ষয়ে রইলে*

ভোররাতে যখন ঘুম ভাঙল
তখন দেখি তোমার বুলেট-আংটিটা,
মহানন্দা নদীর ঘাটের পারে পড়ে আছে ।

গোল রিংয়ের ওপর একটা বুলেট বসানো ! কত ব্লাড ব্যাগ, সিরিঞ্জের
প্লাস্টিক cover খুলেছো ওই বুলেটের
সরু, তীক্ষ্ণ ধার দিয়ে ।

ঘাটে এসে নোঙর বেঁধেছে আরও
কিছু লাল রডোডেনড্রন ।
তোমার সাথে ওদের দেখা হয়েছিল
কোকটাং শৃঙ্গে ।

একটা মৌন মিছিল নিঃশব্দে
ঘাটের কাছে এলো । ওদের দু হাতে
সাদা ফুল । ফুলগুলো তোমায় অর্পণ করে, একটু তফাতে দাঁড়িয়ে রইল ।

চেনা-অচেনা, আত্মীয়-অনাত্মীয়,
ওদের সকলের শেষকৃত্য সুসম্পন্ন করেছিলে তুমি । এই মহানন্দা ঘাটে । ওরা ভোলে নি ।

ওদের মধ্যে রানাও ছিলো ।

রানাকে মনে পড়ছে তোমার?
রানার ফেপে ওঠা শরীরটা তিস্তা নদীতে ঘুরপাক খাচ্ছিল । দেখে তুমি Birrik slide’এর ধসকে উপেক্ষা করে ওকে উদ্ধার করতে নেবে গেলে ?

আজ কেউ জানতেও পারল না,
শ্মশানে অক্ষয় তৃতীয়ার উৎসব ।
মহাকালের বাড়িতে সোনা ছেলে ফিরে এসেছে ।

তাই চিমনির ধোঁয়া আনন্দে নৃত্য করে গগনে, ঘাটের জল করে ছলাৎ ছলাৎ।

তুমি অক্ষয় তৃতীয়াকে অক্ষয় করলে,
অক্ষয় তৃতীয়াও তোমায় অক্ষয়ে রাখল ।

এই অক্ষয়ের অসীমতায়,
তোমার ফোনে তাও মেসেজ আসতে থাকবে , ‘পিন্টুদা, ‘urgently, রক্ত দরকার’।

*Condolence Meeting*

All members and well-wishers are requested to attend a condolence meeting to honor our late founder member, *Shri Pijush Kanti Roy (Pintu Da).*

The Condolence meeting shall be convened this *Sunday, 26th April, at 11 am at HNAF office.*

Your presence is requested as we gather to pay tribute to his lifelong service and the legacy he leaves behind.

36th Annual Adventure Trekking & Camping Course – 2026 🏕️🌿

The 36th Annual Adventure Trekking & Camping Course – 2026 was successfully conducted from 21st March to 25th March 2026 (4 Nights & 5 Days), starting and ending at Siliguri.

Route:
Noam B***y – Barbati Maidan – Chaiga Dovan – Patoki Tar – Lama Gaon, under Kalimpong Forest Division, District Kalimpong.

A total of 8 trainees participated under the guidance of 2 instructors. The course covered essential outdoor and survival skills including shelter making, fire & survival, trekking manners, track signs, knots, backpacking, ration scaling, food planning, outdoor planning, plants & wildlife study, bird watching, budget making, and campfire activities.

The programme was conducted smoothly, and all participants safely returned to Siliguri on 25th March 2026, successfully completing the course with valuable learning and field experience. 🌄
