বহাগ বিহু বা ৰঙালী বিহু অসমৰ বাপতি সাহোন উৎসৱ,যি বসন্তৰ আগমনৰ লগে লগে অসমীয়া নৱবৰ্ষৰ আৰম্ভণিত চ'ত ৰ সংক্ৰান্তিৰ পৰা উদযাপন কৰা হয়।

Bohag Bihu isn’t just a date on the calendar -it’s Assam waking up to spring.Rongali Bihu marks the Assamese New Year as April turns the fields green. Goru Bihu thanks the cattle with turmeric baths and garlands, while Manuh Bihu brings new gamosas, blessings from elders, and homes filled with pitha and laru.

The dhol calls, pepa answers, and husori sets Assam dancing - a celebration of earth, harvest, and togetherness. This is Bohag Bihu: new beginnings woven in tradition.

We are thrilled to host an interactive session with Ankush Nandi, Founder & Former Student Vice Chair of ASME - NIT Silchar Student Section. He is a Mechanical Engineering alumnus (2012-16) of NIT Silchar and a recent graduate of the University of Washington, Seattle, specializing in carbon fiber composites, experimental mechanics, plasma & RF interactions, and advanced manufacturing.

He also brings 5+ years of experience at Mahindra Research Valley, working on BIW/chassis design for the All-New Thar and vehicle dynamics simulations.

People worship books, musical instruments, and tools of art, wearing yellow attire and offering yellow flowers. Educational institutions hold special prayers, and it's a time to appreciate learning and fresh beginnings.
