Smile N Bite
15/06/2023
On World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, let's unite to shatter the silence, promote consciousness, and guarantee the security and welfare of our older generation. Together, we can break the cycle of abuse and neglect, ensuring dignity and respect for all seniors. It's our shared responsibility to raise awareness, provide support networks, and advocate for robust policies against elder mistreatment. Let's cherish and protect the rights of older individuals, fostering an inclusive and caring community. Renew your dedication today to end elder abuse and ensure a future filled with love, care, and respect for our aging population.
The theme this year is "Closing the Circle: Addressing Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in Older Age Policy, Law and Evidence-based Responses".

The 2022 theme for International Volunteer Day is through volunteering, promoting the collective power of humanity to drive positive change through volunteering.
Warm wishes on Day. Though volunteers do not get paid the kind of work they are doing, is beyond any price. No matter how small the act of kindness is, it is always very precious and this is what the world needs from all of us.

Diwali is a festival of fear for animals.
Diwali is one of the most celebrated festivals of India but is also one that brings a lot of trauma for animals due to the noise of crackers.
Animals are abused during Diwali. Some people deliberately throw harmful crackers on them.
Diwali is festival of spreading happiness.
We can celebrate diwali in following way .
Decorate with lights, lamps and diyas that are friendlier to the environment and animals by giving off less smoke and noise.
Disturbing sweets to loved one and underprivileged kids.
Feed stray animals
We can help these voiceless by following some tips :-
1.Try to prevent people from throwing firecrackers at animals.
2.Whenever possible, discourage people from exploding very loud firecrackers – animals’ hearing is far more sensitive than that of humans.
3.Never walk them near where others are lighting firecrackers. Take them out for a walk before celebration begins.
4. IF POSSIBLE Provide STRAY ANIMALS shelter in an area where they may be safe from the firecrackers and the noise
