Ever feel like you need a break from work and reconnect with your passion for photography?

That's exactly what I did recently! I embarked on a solo adventure on a rainy, foggy day to reignite my love for landscape photography after a 6-month hiatus.

My destination? The famed Sohra, a paradise for photographers. But upon arrival, I was greeted by the legendary "Sohra ka Kohra" (Sohra's Fog) which can be quite the challenge! Despite waiting patiently at various locations, the elusive Seven Sisters Waterfalls (Nongshtniang Waterfalls) remained veiled in fog, just like on my countless visits over the past 6 years.

While I wasn't lucky enough to capture the iconic waterfalls this time, I wasn't discouraged. I managed to snag an abstract foggy shot that I surprisingly loved! It may not be award-winning, but it reignited that spark of passion to make the most of my limited free time these days. Solo trips with my DSLR are exactly what I need to get back out there and reconnect with my love for landscape photography. Maybe it's what I need to find my sanity again!

🌊💦🌿🏞️🌧️ Standing next to the breathtaking Mawsawdong waterfall in Sohra, the cascade feels like a hidden 💎 waiting to be discovered. The sound of rushing 💦 echoes through the lush 🌿 as the mist ☁️ from the falls kisses my face. 🕵️‍♂️ 🌴 🌍 🚶‍♂️ 🌄 👫 📷 🔎 🏕️ 🌺 🌎 📸 🧭 📃 💙 🌺.
