1. Video Capture and Transmission

CCTV Camera:

The source device that captures live video footage.

TX (Transmitter): The camera is physically wired to this wireless access point, which converts the video data into a radio signal.

Wireless Signal: The data is sent through the air using specific Wi-Fi standards:

IEEE 802.11b: An older standard with speeds up to 11 Mbps.

IEEE 802.11g: Provides speeds up to 54 Mbps.

IEEE 802.11n: The most advanced version shown, offering higher throughput and better range.

2. Reception and Network Distribution RX (Receiver):

This unit acts as the wireless bridge, catching the signal sent from the TX unit.

Network Switch: The RX unit is connected via a cable to a multi-port network switch, which acts as the central hub for the local network.

The Switch’s Role: It directs the incoming video data to the correct end-user devices connected to its other ports.

3. Monitoring and Communication Devices Once the signal is in the switch, it can be accessed by various devices:

IP Phone: Allows for voice communication over the same network or potential video monitoring if the phone supports it.

Laptop: Acts as the primary monitoring station where a user can view, record, or manage the CCTV feed.
