This is a BS6 2020 model Gixxer 150 which came in for a "to" warning in the speedo.

The vehicle electronics like horn, Headlamp,Tail lamps are working fine. But can't able to start the vehicle.

On detailed inspection we noticed a drastic damage on wiring harness of the vehicle due to RatBite.

On further research the Gixxer models have very exposed wiring compared to other motorcycles hence the owners are advised to extra cautious about this.

Thankfully in this case the issue was resolved by just soldering it and provided with an additional insulation, Otherwise it will cost a hefty amount to replace the wiring kit.

So now, How to Avoid RatBite ?

1. Provide extra insulation (by Tape) or reinforcement (Steel tubes) if required.

2. Use a pungent smelling particles like To***co or ammonia to avoid the Rats attack.
