केंद्रीय सड़क परिवहन एवं राजमार्ग मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने हाल ही में वाहन-से-वाहन (V2V) तकनीक की संभावनाओं पर जोर दिया, जिसे उन्होंने भारत में स्वायत्त (ऑटोनॉमस) ड्राइविंग, सड़क सुरक्षा, बेहतर ट्रैफिक प्रबंधन और भविष्य की स्मार्ट मोबिलिटी के लिए बेहद महत्वपूर्ण बताया।

सैमसंग की सहायक कंपनी HARMAN का दावा है कि वह V2V के साथ-साथ V2X (व्हीकल-टू-एवरीथिंग) तकनीक के विकास में अग्रणी भूमिका निभा रही है, और इसमें भारत की अहम भागीदारी है। HARMAN इंडिया के मैनेजिंग डायरेक्टर एवं ऑटोमोटिव हेड कृष्णा कुमार के अनुसार, भारत में HARMAN की इकाइयाँ अब सॉफ्टवेयर-डिफाइंड और कनेक्टेड वाहनों की तकनीकों के लिए एक वैश्विक केंद्र के रूप में उभर रही हैं, जो अगली पीढ़ी की कनेक्टेड कारों के निर्माण में योगदान दे रही हैं।
