IIT Ropar Signs MoU with State Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panchkula and Nilokheri.

Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar has signed a Memorandum of Understanding for academic cooperation with the State Institute of Engineering & Technology, Panchkula and State Institute of Engineering & Technology, Nilokheri.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Rajeev Ahuja, Director, IIT Ropar and Dr. Anil Rose, Director, SIET, in the presence of officials from both the institutes.

The collaboration opens structured pathways across several dimensions of academic engagement including student exchange, faculty and scientist exchange, joint sponsored research and consulting, joint conferences and short-term courses, and exchange of scientific and technical material.

This partnership strengthens IIT Ropar’s commitment to building academic networks with institutions across the region and supports India’s higher education ecosystem from the ground up.

Another landmark moment for IIT Ropar on the global stage.

iHub - AWaDH @ IIT Ropar, a Technology Innovation Hub under Department of Science & Technology, Government of India NMICPS at Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dassault Systemes Solutions Lab at Bharat Innovates 2026, Nice, France, marking a significant step forward in international collaboration in deeptech, digital innovation, and sustainable technology development.

The MoU was inked by Prof. Rajeev Ahuja, Director, IIT Ropar and Mr. Sudarshan Mogasale, CEO, Dassault Systèmes Solutions Lab, in the presence of Mr. Rajiv ARAMADAKA, Head, Global Affairs, Dassault Systèmes, Ms. Marie-Pierre Aulas, Dassault Systèmes Foundation, Dr. Radhika Trikha, Chief Executive Officer, iHub-AWaDH and Dr. Dr Mukesh Kestwal, Chief Innovation Officer, iHub-AWaDH.

The MoU establishes a framework for joint work between iHub-AWaDH and Dassault Systèmes India in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Cyber-Physical Systems, Digital Twin, Simulation, and Virtual Engineering, with a focus on Agriculture, Water, and allied sectors.

This partnership brings together world-class industrial technology and IIT Ropar’s research excellence to solve some of the most pressing challenges in agriculture and water, sectors that define India’s future.

The Bihar delegation under the Yuva Sangam walked along one of India’s most beautiful man-made lakes, created in 1958 by damming the Sukhna Choe, a seasonal stream descending from the Shivalik Hills, and conceived by the legendary architect Le Corbusier as a peaceful retreat for the people of Chandigarh.

For the young delegates from Bihar, standing at the edge of Sukhna with the Shivaliks in the background was a reminder that development and nature need not be in conflict.
