The Fine Arts Section, IIT Roorkee, is back with immense excitement to present the Annual Art Exhibition – “DARPAN” 2026!

This year’s theme, “Aadambar (आडम्बर),” explores the idea of illusion versus reality. It reflects on the grand displays we create—of power, wealth, virtue, and perfection—that often mask the truths hidden beneath. Through this theme, the exhibition invites viewers to question the spectacle of appearances: the pomp, the performance, and the carefully crafted façades that society builds.

Fine Arts IITR invites you to a Still Life Sketching Workshop, where your sketches come to life on paper.

This workshop is all about exploring creativity in real time. In this session, you’ll follow guided exercises, experiment with sketching techniques, and bring your ideas to life on paper.
Prerequisites: Just a “silly doodling level pencil skill :)” – anyone can join!
What to Bring: Multiple A4/A3 sheets or a sketchbook.
We’ll be providing pencils and other essential art supplies, but feel free to bring your own for the best experience.

Active volunteers for Darpan will be considered for recruitments this semester to Fine arts IITR as well as chances for Inter IIT cultural meet.
