IIM Ranchi welcomed the 18th MBA (Executive) Programme 2026-28 Summer Batch, marking the beginning of a transformative two-year academic journey for working professionals from across the country.

The inaugural programme featured addresses by Prof. Manish Bansal, Chairperson, MBA (Executive) Programme; Prof. Tanusree Dutta, Dean, Academics; and Prof. Amit Sachan, Dean, Executive Education & Consulting (EEC), who encouraged participants to embrace collaborative learning, apply classroom insights to real-world challenges, and develop the capabilities required for responsible leadership.

The participants also interacted with distinguished alumni Ms. Sumarani Sulibele Muniraju, Technical Lead, Boeing India, and Mr. Suman Maiti, General Manager, Hindalco Industries Limited, who shared their experiences and insights from their MBA (Executive) journey.

Mr. Anuj Srivastava, Director, ASCELA Global, and Guest of Honour, encouraged participants to continuously upgrade their knowledge and balance professional and academic commitments. Delivering the keynote address, Mr. Manoj Kumar Agarwal, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), emphasised continuous learning, adaptability, curiosity, and collaborative problem-solving as essential qualities for effective leadership in the era of Industry 4.0.

The programme reaffirmed IIM Ranchi’s commitment to nurturing future-ready leaders equipped to create meaningful impact in their organisations and society.

IIM Ranchi inaugurated the 5-Day Management Development Programme (MDP) on Project Management and Ex*****on Excellence for the Executives of Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PUVN) and NTPC Limited.

The inaugural session was graced by Shri K. Shanmugha Sundaram, Chairman, PVUNL and Director (Projects), NTPC Limited; Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, Director, IIM Ranchi; Shri Ashok Kumar Sehgal, CEO, PUVN Patratu; Prof. Amit Sachan, Dean, Executive Education and Consulting (EEC); Programme Directors Prof. Nitin Singh and Prof. Manish Bansal (Chairperson, EEC); and Shri Ziaur Rahman, AGM (HR), PUVN Patratu.

The programme aims to strengthen participants' project management and ex*****on capabilities through an industry-focused curriculum.
