02 Policemen among 10 arrested by Rajouri Police with He**in, charas, Bhuki



Continuing its strong action against the drug menace in District Rajouri, Rajouri Police has arrested 02 policeman alongwith 08 other persons involved in drug peddling. During a routine naka checking on Mughal Road at Thanamandi, the police party led by Inspr Karan Chalota, SHO P/S Thanamandi intercepted 03 vehicles which were subjected to thorough search. During the search made, drugs including Cannabis, poppy straw and He**in were recovered from the possession of following persons:-



1. Saddam Hussain S/o Adalat Khan R/o Manyal, Thanamandi,

2. Tokir Razak @ Ashu S/o Md. Razak, R/o Kote, Behrote, Thanamandi

3. Md. Zahir S/o Md. Rashid, R/o Kote, Behrote, Thanamandi,

4. Tariq Mehmood S/o Md. Azad R/o Badakana, Thanamandi,

5. Azhar Mehmood @ Chitu S/o Zahir Khan R/o Khablain, Thanamandi,

6. Md. Waqas S/o Abdul Hamid R/o Kote Dhara, Rajouri,

7. Sourav Kumar @ Sunil S/o Manoj Kumar,

8. Raj Kumar @ Raju S/o Tirth Ram, both R/o Ward No. 5, Jawahar Nagar, Rajouri

9. Sgct Imtiaz Ahmed S/o Md. Sadiq R/o Gurdan Pain, Rajouri (No.566/R, DPL Rajouri)

10. Ct. Shahwaz Mirza S/o Late Md. Shamsher R/o Bhattian, Thanamandi, (No.1210/R DPL Rajouri)





From their possession 36 Grams He**in, 30 Grams Cannabis, 4.5 Kgs Poppy Straw was recovered and 03 vehicles bearing registration No. JK11B/7664(Alto), Swift (without regs. No.) and JK02AB/0356 (Sentro)have been seized in five different cases i.e FIR’s 78, 79, 80, 81 & 82 of 2017 under section 8/15/20/22/60 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act registered at Police Station Thanamandi.



The efforts of Rajouri Police in arresting the drug peddlers have been highly appreciated by the general public and action against drug peddlers shall continue.



The arrests were made by the police under the command of Mohd. Yousif, Addl. SP Rajouri and Iftikhar Choudhary, SDPO Thanamandi under the supervision of Yougal Manhas, SSP Rajouri.
