CCBA Designs

Lecture Hall complex at the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, designed by CCBA Designs, Pune, featured in the May 2026 edition of Surfaces Reporter.

Sculptural, curvilinear walls of the Lecture Hall complex are in exposed reinforced concrete, rising from the landscape and flowing seamlessly into the roof, creating a singular sculptural form. Housing 15 auditoriums with a combined capacity of over 3,200 users, the complex transforms concrete into a fluid architectural language, creating an iconic landmark for learning, interaction, and discovery.

Again CCBA invents a new way of learning where in all the lecture halls are pooled into one block to increase efficiency in the utilisation of space that can be shared by all departments rather than having multiple lecture halls under utilised in each department. Pooling in resources is a for of sustainability for better use of resources.
