Dear all,

Greetings from PiE, the Economics club of IIM Udaipur.

We bring for you the annual debate competition - Vaad Vivaad 2016 in association with Solaris, the Annual Management Fest of IIM Udaipur.

One of the most important skills for management students to have is the skill to put forward their point in a crisp and precise manner. Convincing skills play an important role in today’s corporate world and Debates are one of the best ways to hone these skills.

Vaad Vivaad is the annual national debate competition held by PiE – The Economics Club of IIM Udaipur, to test the debating skills of management students across all the B-schools in India.

ROUND 1: Online Economics Quiz (Elimination round)
Date: 20th October
Time: 10:30 P.M.-11 P.M.
Prize: Worth Rs. 2000
ROUND 2: Online Caselets (Elimination round)
Date 25th October
Time: 10:30 P.M.-11:15 P.M.
Prize: Worth Rs. 8000 for top 3 teams
Candidates are required to solve caselets within 45 minutes.
ROUND 3: DEBATE (ON-CAMPUS round)
Date 13th Nov
Prize: Worth Rs. 40000 for top 3 teams
Topic for debate will be announced to the teams prior to their arrival but the decision regarding which team will speak For or Against will be taken on the day of event itself.
This will strictly be an on-campus round and the selected participants would be required to come to Indian Institute of Management, Udaipur to participate in this round.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
Teams of 2 members need to be formed.
Multiple teams can register from each participating college.
All the participants in a particular team must belong to the same institute.
A participant cannot be a part of more than one team.
Further details, if required, would be communicated timely.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All decisions in matters of eligibility, authenticity, and final judgments will be with organizing committee of PiE, Indian Institute of Management, Udaipur
There could be minor changes in the events. All participants would be communicated accordingly about any such happenings. However, such minor changes would not alter the format and structure of the event as a whole.
The prizes of second round will be applicable to only those teams who will participate in the final round
Teams who do not adhere to the rules and regulations can be disqualified at any stage of event.
In case of any dispute, the decision of the organizing team will be final and binding.
