बालपणी 'फुलपाखरू छान किती दिसते', 'माझ्या मामाची रंगीत गाडी हो, तिला खिल्लाऱ्या बैलांची जोडी हो!', 'देवा तुझे किती सुंदर आकाश' या ख्यातनाम कविवर्य व शिक्षण तज्ज्ञ ग. ह. पाटील यांच्या निर्व्याज बालकवितांनी मनात घर केले होते आणि आज त्यांच्या नावाचा राज्यस्तरीय पुरस्कार 'एकदा काय झाली गंमत!' या माझ्या पहिल्या बालकविता संग्रहाला मिळाला आहे. हा पुरस्कार प्रदान केल्याबद्दल अखिल भारतीय मराठी बालकुमार साहित्य संस्थेचे मनःपूर्वक आभार!

या कविता संग्रहातील बऱ्याच बालकविता ह्या निसर्ग संवर्धनाचा संदेश देणाऱ्या आहेत म्हणून या पुस्तकास वनस्पतीतज्ज्ञ प्रा. श्रीधर महाजन सरांनी प्रस्तावना लिहिली आहे. 🙏🪷🌿

Beauty of Reuse and Recycling

Every year before holi, I get busy collecting natural materials like flowers, leaves, fruits, seeds of different plants to prepare natural holi colours for holi, dhulivandan and rangpanchami. And I reuse and recycle the natural holi colours that remain with me after the festivities are over. I usually reuse the left over colours during summer workshops for kids. Also, this year I reused the natural liquid colours as sherbet and reused the natural dry colours to colour the rangoli.

Additionally, some natural liquid colour made of Bixa plant remained with me and I reused that orange bixa colour in my orange fruit bio enzyme. It has given double benefits as both bixa and orange are rich in vitamin C. Now, this bio enzyme has become fully medicinal and pleasantly orange in colour. Once this bio enzyme becomes ready to use, I'll use it as a plant fertilizer.
