The Bramhari Pranayama or the hulking bee breath is one of the easiest ways to calm down the nervous system. Different pranayama a have different effects - and it’s all rooted in how to stimulate different parts of the body. The humming creates a vibration in the throat, face and chest - which in turn stimulates the vagus nerve. This in turns triggers the parasympathetic nervous system, which reduces the cortisol level, slows down the heart rate and calms the mind and body.
Yes you can place your hands in Shanmukhi mudra so that your entire focus is in the breath and the vibration and sound reverberating in the head. But why complicate it when just the humming works too? If you’re having a stressful day, just take a few deep breaths and hum on the exhale - a simple practice you can do without bringing attention to yourself if you prefer it that way. And this is why humming a song can be really soothing too. This is effective Biohacking at its simplest!

People have been asking me what I do or how I work with clients… so I hope this gives you an idea. Energy healing or sound healing sessions form a part of the process, but i like teaching clients simple techniques they can use for their own healing. So breathwork, guided meditation, acupressure, fascia release, somatic movements, nervous system reset… these are the various sessions I host for my clients. Everyone’s needs are different, and everyone’s approach to wellness is different - so no two sessions are ever alike. Programs are 100% customised and could be just a couple of sessions or a weekly meet up. It all depends on what you need and how you want to work on yourself. DM to know more

A regulated nervous system changes how we work.

When the nervous system is constantly dysregulated, everything feels harder.

Emails feel urgent.

2 acupressure points on the face to help unclog stuffy heads if you have a cold or sinus problem. Do this for a couple of minutes a few times a day. Use firm pressure, and you can either press into the point or massage in a circular motion.

A couple of techniques for a quick energy reset. Try this if you’re feeling drained of energy, upset or just need to change your mood.
Massaging into acupressure point K27 is a great way to flip your energy and your mood. To find this point locate the 2 inside corners of your clavicles or collarbone, and then drop straight down by about an inch. Most people have a soft spot here .
Acupressure is a great way to tap into your body. Breathwork or pranayama is another. Simple belly breaths with intention help calm the mind and body. A great grounding practice that’s easy for anyone who is new to pranayama.
