QA : Job Description

Candidate must have very strong knowledge of testing methodologies & good knowledge of application testing. Should be able to design and build functional test cases to give complete test coverage. The individual will estimate / help in estimating testing efforts, manage testing script development and testing activities, automation consulting, proof of concepts, track issues, and manage any testing risk related to the delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Contribute in QA Planning & Ex*****on for multiple releases.
Provide accurate estimates for testing efforts.
Documentation of Test Strategy and Project Test Plan & setting up review process of the documents and getting sign off on the same from various stakeholders.
Analyze business, functional impacts, and technical requirements and develop test scenarios for multiple releases/projects running in parallel.
Coordinate & work closely with Product and Project Management to identify gaps in the requirements.
Ability to design, develop and execute Test Plans & Test Cases and review of all test cases and test scripts with the team and ensure quality and standards are applied correctly.
Ensure defects are raised and recorded effectively and work closely with the Product/Project Management to ensure a timely resolution which includes prioritization resolution and retest.
Provide guidance to QA team for assignments and activities across multiple applications and project initiatives.
Facilitate to setup new processes and improve the project standards.
Establish best practices for QA activities within the team.
Regular updates and risk identification for on-going projects to management

Technical Skills and Others

Hands on experience in all QA activities that includes understanding of the requirements, developing test plan, test strategy, test cases and ex*****on of the same.
Strong analytical skills.
Good knowledge of automated testing, techniques & methodologies to lead the automation efforts.
Experience in various SDLC methodology such as Waterfall, Agile.
Has strong organizational and time management skills and is able to effectively multitask.
Implementation knowledge of automation tools like Selenium, QTP etc
Defect Management Tools such as JIRA
Excellent Verbal and written Communication skills
Strong Decision making and Influencing skills
Ability to work across groups to ensure coordination of testing efforts
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related experience.
4-6 years in software quality assurance with significant testing and automation experience
Minimum 2 years experience with test automation tools like Selenium, QTP
