The Department of Orthopaedics continues to actively contribute to academic activities across India. Here are some key achievements and participations from the past two months:
👨‍⚕️ Dr. Santosh Borkar
• Invited as Faculty for a Pune Paediatric Orthopaedic conference
👨‍⚕️ Dr. Rajiv Munde
• Served as Faculty at the Meniscus Repair Workshop during IASCON 2025 (22nd Annual Conference of the Indian Arthroscopy Society), held on September 26–28, 2025 at the Taj Cidade De Goa Horizon, Goa
🏆 Dr. Maheshgauri Darpan
• Honoured with an award PRATIBHA PURSKAR & DEVDOOT PURSKAR.
🎓 PG Students
• Actively participated in multiple academic activities:
• Joint PG Course – Nashik
• PG Training Courses – Pune
• Paediatric PG Course – Pune

On occasion Orthopaedic bone and joint week, We Organized a Guest Lecture by
DR MURLIDHAR VARUNJIKAR on Medicolegal Aspects in Clinical Practice & BMD Camp.
All Faculty, Postgraduate Residents & Physiotherapy Residents of MIMER were participated.

"MIMER Medical College, Talegaon, was felicitated during the inauguration ceremony of MOACON 2025 in Nashik on 21st February 2015, by the Maharashtra Orthopaedics Association for its outstanding academic activities, including CME & workshops.

Additionally, Dr. Rajiv Munde, Assistant Professor & Arthroscopy Surgeon at MIMER Medical College, was honored for his exemplary academic, social, and cultural contributions over the past year, as well as for achieving a fellowship in Arthroscopy & Shoulder Knee Surgery in the UK."

As we always try to be active in promoting academics & quality education,
On occasion of Maharashtra orthopaedic day (MOA week), we successfully conducted BMD camp and awareness talk(by Dr Rajiv Munde ) on osteoarthritis and osteoporosis at department of orthopedics, MIMER medical College,Pune .
(Total attendance>100)

On occasion of Bone & Joint Day 4th August , Department of orthopaedics MIMER , Medical College, Pune has organised Free BMD Camp with Free consultation and medicines by specialist.
