While escaping Freya's attack, steer the sled and avoid all obstacles in the path. Atreus's wolf dies and he is very sad. He asks his father Kratos to leave him alone and let him bury his wolf. Kratos brother Mimir tells him Atreus didn't return.

Kratos begins to search for him in the woods. While searching for his son, he encounters different enemies. You can defend yourself with your shield. And fight the enemies with your ax attack. During gameplay, you reach a location, where a giant bear attacks you from behind. Defeat the giant bear and save Atreus.
