Google search is awful for in-depth research on nuanced topics.

Googling things often just results in top SEO optimized websites showing up which are often junk surface level top 10 list kind of information about the topic. Finding reliable mental and physical health information is damn near impossible without a lot of digging.

I've found that putting Reddit after my question yields far better results because highly upvoted Reddit comments are often far better thought out than top google search results.

I've also found that posting your question to a relevant subreddit is an amazing way to get relevant advice from people knowledgeable or at least interested in the topic. Works far better than googling IMO. It's like your own research team every time you post on Reddit.

Maybe I just don't know how to Google properly. Let me know if you guys have better googling strategies.
