We declare with heartfelt sorrow that we lost our bright star, a brave soul, a very successful scientist Dr. Abhishek Swarnkar, at his very early age. It's an irreplaceable loss for each of us, who knows him and who doesn't. His journey throughout is an example of how hard one's life can be and how to cross the hurdle with smiling face. With extremely difficult health issues, he published multiple of his work in top most journals within very short period of time. His days were still left there to shine more and more. All his struggles, his dedications and contributions to science, his brilliance and his unbelievable success will always be there in our mind. Our deepest condolences to his near and dear ones, may his soul rest in peace.

Here the new year in our lab starts with the PhD work by Rayan Chakraborty , Pariksh*t Rajput and Angshuman Nag in collaboration with Gokul M. Edge versus Interior Mn2+ Doping in 2D Layered Butylammonium Lead Bromide Perovskite Single Crystals Butylammonium lead bromide [(BA)2PbBr4] has an atomically thin two-dimensional (2D) quantum well structure.
