DPIFS proudly welcomes Shiladitya Bora for a Masterclass on Film Marketing & Distribution!
We are delighted to announce that Shiladitya Bora — acclaimed Indian film producer, director, marketer, and founder of Platoon One Films — will be joining us at Dadasaheb Phalke International Film School (DPIFS) on 15 November 2025 for an exclusive workshop on Film Marketing & Distribution.
A visionary in the Indian independent cinema landscape, Shiladitya Bora has:
✨ Spearheaded PVR Directors’ Rare, releasing over 85 independent films
✨ Been selected as a Berlinale Talent (2015) for his contribution to marketing and distribution
✨ Served as the founding CEO of Drishyam Films, and worked on acclaimed films like Masaan (2015) and Newton (2017) — India’s official entry to the 90th Academy Awards
✨ Produced celebrated films under Platoon One Films, including the National Award-winning Picasso, the Berlinale-nominated Ghaath, and the upcoming Bayaan, premiering at TIFF 2025
This workshop is an extraordinary opportunity for our students to learn directly from one of India’s most influential voices in contemporary cinema—someone who has shaped the journey of many path-breaking films from script to global screens.
