Vowels: The sound of words.

In the English alphabet, there are five letters called vowels- a,e,i,o,u
These vowels make short sound and long sounds.

Short sounds are heard in the words like cat, pen, ink, cot, jug……

Long sounds are heard in words like, cake, leaf, ice, boat, unicorn…..
