OPPO has launched OPPO Reno 16 in India on 2nd July 2026.

It is priced at ₹ 61,999 for 8GB+256GB and ₹ 67,999 for 12GB+256GB.
It is offered in Starry White, Stellar Purple, and Twilight Violet colour options.

It will be available for sale from 9th July through OPPO website and stores, Flipkart,Amazon and Retail stores.

It has IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.

It also has the AI Snap Key and Mind Space, which instantly clip and organise on-screen content into a memory hub, and Mind Pilot, a unified assistant that combines Gemini, Perplexity, and ChatGPT for optimized query responses.

The AI Snap Key is a physical button on the Reno 16, similar to the Plus Key on OnePlus phones.

WhatsApp today announced a much-awaited feature: usernames, which will allow users to share their profiles without disclosing their phone number.

Starting today, the Meta-owned company will let users reserve usernames, which will officially roll out later this year. People can choose any username with 3 to 35 characters.

Meta said that if businesses and creators want to maintain uniformity, they can claim their Facebook or Instagram username as their WhatsApp username.

Users will receive a notification once the username reservation option is available in their country. After that, they can go to Settings > Account > Username to choose their username

Meta noted that the reason for the reservation process is to avoid duplication for its user base of over 3 billion. The company said that usernames will not be searchable on the app, and only people who know your exact username will be able to contact you.
Plus, you can turn off the feature or change your username at any point.

WhatsApp has also introduced an optional username key that adds another layer of privacy. Anyone trying to contact a user for the first time through their username will need this key before a conversation can begin. Users can update or change the key at any time.
