Emotions are a part of the human experience. Without them, what different would we be from robots right? We spend a lot of time trying to either suppress or downplay an emotion that makes us uncomfortable. That’s mainly because in the minds of most people emotions are either “good” or “bad”. The truth is that ALL emotions have an important role to play in adaptation. It’s important to feel the negative as well as the positive to have a more holistic understanding of the world and ourselves. Feel all your feelings! ✨

Therapy offers you an objective perspective on the event that has taken place. The therapist acts like a guide to help you navigate and forge your on path to what you hope to achieve. The path may not always be clear, but everything you take from therapy will help you move forward until you meet your goal. ✨

Aaah I just finished watching the reunion episode and waves of nostalgia came crashing on me! This got me wondering though-whether nostalgia, this bittersweet feeling, can help us in any way. Turns out nostalgia is a very future oriented emotion and can better our present and our future selves in more than on way. ✨

Speaking from personal experience, as I turn a year older each year, I find myself looking back with more and more fondness when I come across something that triggers my nostalgia. Sometimes it’s when I’m cleaning my room and I find some trinket that reminds me of a person I was once friends with. It’s around the corner when I go through my childhood home videos and pictures. Sometimes the smell of a perfume can evoke a memory so strong that it feels like yesterday. ✨
