We are proud to announce that Laser Automation has successfully secured a patent for Z- Axis Autofocus Interface Device for CNC Machines.

In any Laser process, it is important to maintain the distance between the laser head and the workpiece at a specific level. When processing on an irregular surface, maintaining this distance is a challenge and if it is not maintained, the process is not done properly, and desirable results are not achieved. This challenge occurs primarily while processes like Laser Cutting on pipes because pipes have wavy surfaces. Even supposedly flat plates/components have some irregularities which makes it challenging to maintain the working distance.

With tremendous efforts and innovation, LAPL team has developed a sensor based circuit, which senses the distance between workpiece and Z axis, and when working on an irregular surface, the circuit accordingly adjusts the head position and keeps the distance constant.
Moreover, one of the biggest advantages is that this technology can be integrated with any head.
