Doon or Walnut Chetin or chutney
Delicious aromatic red pepper chutney with walnuts, packed with antioxidants, omega-3 fats and phytochemicals.
Recipe:
Doon Chyot (without Yoghurt)
1. 10-12 walnut kernels
2. 15-20 dry red chillies soaked in water
3. Salt to taste
Doon Chetin with Yoghurt
1. 10-12 walnut kernels
2. 15-20 dry red chillies soaked in water
3. Salt to taste
4. 4 teaspoons of yoghurt
RED PEPPER WALNUT CHUTNEY
Ingredients:
1. Walnuts – 50 grams.
2. Red pepper 15-20 nos.
3. Salt to taste.
Preparation:
1. First grind the walnuts in Stoned moter with wooden pestle for 4-5 minutes.
2. Add the Red chili/peppers to the moter and crash or Grind along with Walnuts.
3. Grand/Crash it till smooth or little course as per your requirement.
4. Options:
If you are trying make with Curd/ Yoghurt then add 4-5 TSP of Yoghurt and mix it with spoon.
5. Add salt as per your Taste.
Serve as an accompaniment with tandoori dishes Like Kashmiri Tooji Roosted chicken, mutton biryani etc. Or fried snacks or rice dishes.
