Surankote Consumer Yousaf Shah Alleges Defective Solar Panel, Seeks Warranty Support

Surankote, June 25: Mr. Yousaf Shah, a resident of Surankote in Poonch district, has raised concerns regarding the after-sales service and warranty support for a solar panel purchased in 2023.
According to Yousaf Shah, the solar panel was sold with a 25-year warranty, but within three years, small cracks and scratches reportedly appeared on the panel. He alleges that despite contacting the company and registering complaints, the issue has not been resolved.
The consumer further stated that there is no company electrician or engineer available in his area to inspect the panel and assess the damage. He claims that this has caused inconvenience and uncertainty regarding the warranty claim process.
Regarding the matter, the company reportedly informed the consumer that while the solar panel carries a 25-year performance warranty, any damage resulting from breakage or physical cracks is not covered under the warranty terms. According to the consumer, the company advised that compensation for such damage should be sought through the insurance facility arranged at the time of purchase through the financing bank, as breakage-related claims do not fall under the manufacturer's warranty coverage.
Yousaf Shah has appealed for greater awareness among consumers regarding warranty conditions, insurance coverage, and after-sales support before purchasing solar energy products. He has also requested a proper inspection of the panel and clarification regarding the available options for resolving the issue.
