World Communication week is celebrated from 1st Nov to 7th Nov. Postcards a forgotten but important way of communication is still admired as a souvenir.

These “By Air Mail – PAR AVION-” postcards have been put up in World Philatelic Exhibition, New Delhi in 1989. Red fort, Taj mahal, Hawa mahal, Sher Shah’s Tomb, Meenakshi Temple, Mahabalipuram, Qutb Minar can be observed on set of 7 postcards.

In 1965, A war broke out between Israel and Arabic countries. To stop the devastation and control the situation in the war affected areas, United Nations started a peace keeping operation. India lent UN a helping hand by creating a peace keeping force. These first day covers were sent along with Indian army to UN representative in Gaza.
