Today, at Kandoliya Ground in Pauri district, the Forest Department organized a special training session for women from Pauri, Kot Pauri, and Khirsu blocks. The program focused on teaching practical techniques for resin extraction from chir pine trees.
The initiative aimed to empower local women by providing them with hands-on knowledge of sustainable forest-based livelihoods. Through this training, participants learned both the scientific process and traditional methods of resin tapping, along with safety measures and environmental considerations.
Such efforts not only enhance skill development but also open up new opportunities for income generation while promoting community participation in forest conservation.

Today, Mr. Harsh*t Sahadev, Director of Himshakti, visited the Hilans Outlets at Vikas Bhavan, along with Bedu and Fruit Processing Unit of Umang Swayatta Sahakarita, Pauri Garhwal.
During the visit, he explored and tasted several of our locally developed value-added products, including Bedu Jam, Bedu Chutney, Malta Squash, and Buransh Squash.
Mr. Sahadev highly appreciated the dedication, innovation, and hard work of the team behind these unique Himalayan products. Impressed by their quality and authenticity, Himshakti has finalized a co-branding collaboration for Bedu Jam, Bedu Chutney, Malta Squash, and Buransh Squash. Within the coming days, the first batch of products will be dispatched to Himshakti, marking the beginning of this promising partnership.
This visit and collaboration reflect the growing recognition of local produce, women-led enterprises, and community-based business models emerging from the hills of Pauri Garhwal.
On this occasion, Business Promoter Mr. Aakash Gosain, Group Mobilizer Ms. Rashmi, and Processing In-charge Mrs. Aasha Devi were present and actively engaged in showcasing the production processes and products.
The visit was facilitated and the collaboration was finalized by AM Sales Gramothan, Mr. Aashutosh Kaushik, reinforcing the commitment to promote market linkages for rural enterprises.
