Life is full of uncertainty and hardship, but in every difficult battle, defeat is first a psychological experience. As long as one is breathing, standing on their own legs, and able to try again, they are not defeated—they have merely endured a bad day.

Defeat is merely a state of mind as long as one is alive. No one is truly defeated until they accept defeat as a reality. We may face many setbacks in life, but we must never be defeated.

As human beings, it is important for us to consider how we respond to failure or any defeat we encounter in our lives. If we view defeat merely as a setback and not as something entirely negative, we can keep our hopes alive and continue striving for improvement in life.

If we consider defeat as the end of life itself, leaving nothing behind to move forward and try again, then we effectively stagnate our lives and cannot progress.

Winning or losing is a part of life, and neither is permanent. Sometimes we win, and sometimes we lose—that's life. However, how we maintain our mindset in both situations is what truly matters. When we win, we should feel grateful and remain humble; when we lose, we must keep our heads held high and never give up.

Thank you.

Physical strength is the ability to perform specific tasks and measures the amount of force a person can exert to complete physical activities. It is directly related to the health and functionality of muscles, bones, and other bodily tissues. A person with a well-developed muscular system can exert greater force in any given task, whereas someone with a weak musculoskeletal system will struggle to apply the necessary force to accomplish the intended activity.

On the one hand, mental strength is the measure of whether a person will actually perform the task they intend to do. It directly correlates with a person's internal strength, courage, and willpower. A physically strong person who possesses all the desired traits of strength may still lose their willpower or mental strength, and as a result, they will be unable to complete the task. Although mental strength is closely related to physical strength, there are situations in life that do not require physical strength but instead demand mental resilience to bear the burden.

Both physical and mental strength are necessary traits for an adult human, but tough situations in life require a person to be mentally stronger than physically.

Thank you.

The principle of adaptation is the foundation of physical training stress-recovery theory which states that the repeated application of appropriate stressor to the body activates a variety of structural and functional changes in response to the given stress. These adaptation occurs at various levels including the muscular, cardiovascular and neurological system.

Understanding the principle of adaptation effectively is very important in order to maximize training outcomes for an individual or athlete and minimise the risk of injury. Without adaptation our bodies will not be able to adapt to improve performance and become more resilient.

The adaptation phase can be divided into three phases:

1. Alarm/reaction phase: This is the initial phase of adaptation where our bodies recieve a new training stimulus that exceeds their current capacity. We may experience muscle soreness, fatigue and decreased performance as our body adjust to the new demand. During this phase our bodies initiate various physiological processes to repair tissue leading to stronger muscle and increased endurance.

2. Resistance/ development phase: In this phase our bodies has adapted to the initial stressor and we experience improvement in performance and fitness level. Our bodies become more efficient at utilizing oxygen, our muscles become more stronger and resistance to fatigue and our overall performance improves.

3. Super compensation phase: This phase is characterized by optimal performance attained as a result of the adaptation made in the resistance phase. It is crucial to capatilize in this phrase by introducing new challenges and continue to push ourselves to further stimulate new adaptation.

To apply the theory of adaptation effectively in training gradual progression, periodized training and proper rest and recovery is important to get the benefits.

Thanks.

Strength whether physical or mental, does not come from doing things you can already do repeatedly. Nor does it come from doing something you are capable of and have already done. True strength comes from overcoming challenges that once seemed impossible for you.

As a brain injury survivor, I have faced many physical and mental challenges. However, honestly speaking, I have overcome all the struggles that people once thought I would never be able to overcome in my life.

After the injury, there were many obstacles in my way, and the people around me thought that I wouldn't be able to overcome any of them. Even when I was in a coma, my doctors told my family that my chances of survival were very slim, and even if I survived, I would not be able to walk again or would face complete paralysis of the body.

I survived, came back from a coma, stood up, and walked again. Everything that came into my life after the injury was a challenge to overcome, and I overcame them all.

My family members were worried about my education because, at the time of the accident, I was in the 4th semester of my graduation, and the injury set my degree back by a year. Continuing my education after the accident was an almost impossible challenge for me. However, after one year and four days, and undergoing two back-to-back brain surgeries, I rejoined my college. With all my hard work and effort, I completed my degree with first division honors.

I have overcome many seemingly impossible challenges in my life after my injury, and it has become an addiction for me to tackle difficult, challenging tasks and conquer them. The best part about overcoming what once seemed impossible was that it boosted my mental strength to new heights. The fear that once occupied my mind vanished, and I emerged as a mentally stronger and more resilient person.

Obstacles in life always come to make you stronger. Always fight and never give up, because one day, when you look back at overcoming all those impossible challenges that people once thought you could not conquer, you will feel proud of yourself.

In any tough battle, always fight like a warrior; those who persevere in difficult situations always win.

Thank you.

This screenshot is a research paper published by Frontier headlined "A comprehensive review of the rehabilitation approach for traumatic brain injury: Efficacy and outcome". A couple of days ago, I was reading this research paper and it literally blew my mind.

The paper talks about the key rehabilitation strategies for moderate to severe TBI, outlining the primary techniques used and their primary deficit target and their outcomes.

It talks about neuropsychology, cognitive rehabilitation, neuroplasty-based rehabilitation, technological rehabilitation, behavioral and psychosocial rehabilitation, community-based rehabilitation and occupational therapy, attention and communication training and telerehabilitation and remote technologies.

The paper explains everything very effectively, but the problem with this kind of research paper is that in the rehabilitation approach for mild to severe TBI, they never talk about the muscle loss and strength loss that play a huge role in rehabilitation.

Due to inactivity and injury to the brain, the muscles get weak for two reasons-one is not being able to receive signals from the brain and the second is not being able to use the muscles or inactivity.

After getting weak, the muscles start to degrade from their position slowly and, in some cases, due to prolonged bed rest, the muscle vanishes from its position.

Muscle building and working to build physical strength plays a huge role in the rehabilitation of a brain injury survivor, but unfortunately, you will never find any research paper talking about muscle building and strength building.

Muscle building and strength building are the most important portion of the rehabilitation of the brain injury survivor and a brain injury survivor can never regain his lost physical and mental capabilities if they are ingnored.

Thanks.
